Privacy
Your data, in plain words.
We are a surf school, not a data company. This page explains the little we collect, why, and what your rights are.

Who is responsible
Grandela Surf Club, Baleal, Peniche, Portugal. For anything about your data, write to hello@grandelasurfclub.com.
What we collect
This website itself collects nothing. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and shows no ads. There are no forms to fill in.
When you contact us to book — by WhatsApp, email or Instagram — we receive what you send us: your name, your contact, your messages, and practical details for the lesson (how many people, ages of children, swimming ability, dates).
Why we use it
To answer you, arrange and run your lessons, and keep you safe in the water. That is the whole list. The legal basis is the booking itself (performance of a contract) and, for safety details, our legitimate interest in teaching responsibly.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, share it for marketing, or add you to mailing lists you did not ask for.
Third parties
If you write to us on WhatsApp or Instagram, those conversations also live on Meta's platforms under their own privacy terms. Choosing email instead is always fine.
How long we keep it
Booking conversations are kept while they are useful for your lessons and for as long as Portuguese law requires us to keep records (for example, invoicing). Then they go.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, or object to how it is used. One message to hello@grandelasurfclub.com is enough.
If you believe we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority: CNPD — Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, cnpd.pt.
